Ol Tukai Lodge

Positioned in the heart of Amboseli National Park, this lodge sits among a grove of doum palms that gives it a shaded, established feel unusual for the open savannah surrounding it. Rooms are arranged in low blocks connected by pathways through the grounds, each with a private veranda facing either the palms or the wider plains.

The lodge's central location within the park means it is well placed for the marshes where elephant herds gather, and Mount Kilimanjaro is often visible from the grounds on clear mornings, particularly at sunrise. A swimming pool and open dining terrace look out over the surrounding bush, and a waterhole near the property regularly draws in wildlife that can be watched at a distance.

As one of the longer-standing lodges in the park, it offers a straightforward, comfortable base for exploring Amboseli's swamps and open plains across a two or three-night stay.
